John Woloshen
Lead Guitar and Vocals
John Woloshen was born July 26, 1965 in Paterson, NJ.
John's dad played the guitar and had a little home studio set up in the basement. When John showed some interest in the guitar, his dad taught him his first couple of chords at age 13. Armed with a cheap guitar and a couple of chords under his belt, he teamed up with a couple of his eighth grade friends and started his first band Destiny.
John was in a variety of bands throughout high school and college, mostly playing cover tunes.
In 1993, John met Jon Johnson through his soon to be wife Tina. Jon and John started "None of the Above" (NOTA) and the band had a successful 8 year run. None of the Above could be seen all over Central Florida at such venues as Kate O'Briens, The Loaded Hog, Toucan Willies, Peanuts, Traders, Cheers and many more. One of NOTA's most popular songs was a Pink Floyd Medley that covered, Breathe, Brain Damage, Time and Comfortably Numb. That medley would always bring the crowd to their feet!
In 2005, since it was so popular, John decided to take the Pink Floyd material to the next level and started the Pink Floyd tribute band. Pink Phloyd. Pink Phloyd currently plays Central Florida venues regularly.
In October of 2006, John was contacted by Lee Siler, Bill Denmead and Marlene Pedereson about the possibility of putting together a Rock/Dance band. Since it seemed like a nice change of pace from the Pink Phloyd thing, John agreed. Skin Deep plays a great variey of fun music to keep crowds on their feet for hours!
