Jon Johnson

Lead Vocals, Rhythm and Lead Guitar

1954: Jon Johnson was born in Colusa, CA to Canadian parents in Missionary training at that time.

1959 -1973: Jon moved to Bolivia, South America (not to be mistaken with Bolivia, Arkansas) and attended American boarding school. When Jon was 12 years old, a family friend gave him his first guitar and his acute interest became an obsession.

By the age of 14, Jon was writing songs and performing at school functions.  At 17, he had to choose between a career as a musician or as a professional soccer player.   Music won, and after graduating from high school Jon moved to London, Ontario, Canada.

1974-1991: Armed with an acoustic guitar, a good set of vocal chords and a small sound system, Jon started his professional career playing hotel lounges and University pubs across Ontario.

In 1976 Jon joined the first of many road bands and toured most of central and eastern Canada.  Music styles included Top 40, Southern Rock, Blues, Calypso/Reggae, Old Rock & Roll and 'Art Rock' (Genesis, Saga, Supertramp, etc...). In short, just about everything short of Disco, Rap, Heavy Metal or Polka.

1991 - Present: Jon moved to Central Florida and returned to his roots, playing an acoustic solo act in many local clubs and restaurants... A1A West, The Dry-dock, Toucan Willie's, Otters, Pebbles, Rockin' Rooster, Mulvaney's and Universal Studio's to name a few of the places.

1997: In addition to his solo act, Jon decided to start another band and there you have it... None of the Above was born!
