In the Summer of 1997, Jon Johnson (the Lead Singer and Founder of the band) decided that he had heard enough of the Orlando music scene. Every band was playing the same old song and dance. He felt that Central Florida was ready for something new and different... None of the Above!

Jon's first task was to look for a drummer. He looked in Jam Magazine, and that is where he found Roland Cote. In May of 1998, John Woloshen was added to the line-up as Lead guitar and that was that. The guys decided on the name None of the Above because it suggests that these guys are different from your average local band... and they are!

In 1998, None of the Above appeared out of no where as a tight band with strong vocals, a great repertoire and a clean, punchy sound. They gained popularity in many local clubs... Kate O'Brien's, One Eyed Jack's, Toucan Willie's, Otters, Beer Belly's and Traders, just to name a few. They are currently regulars at The Handle Bar and Grill and Papa Joe's in Deltona.

In the Summer of 1999 they found Richard Phillips on the internet. Richard joined the band in the Spring of 2000 playing bass and singing harmonies.  In 2002, Roland decided that he was a little burned out and decided to retire from the band. The band auditioned a few drummers and finally came across a perfect match in Gary Milner.  Gary worked on the material for a few weeks and was integrated with the band within a few gigs.

None of the Above! can be found in local clubs all over Central Florida.
