Gary Milner
Drums
Gary Milner is the most recent addition to None of the Above! He passed his audition May 30, 2002, and will take over the sticks from Roland by the end of June.
Gary started playing the drums in elementary school and studied with drum instructors in the Long Island area. He played the drums in Jr. High and High School concert and marching bands. While in high school, he played in the "BUD BAND", playing local clubs and dances. The Bud Band played songs from the Allman Brothers to Black Sabbath.
After high school, Gary joined a top 40 band "Northern Star", playing around New York and New Jersey. While studying music at SUNY Stony Brook, he played club dates and weddings and eventually landed a job as staff drummer for North Lake Studios in White Plains NY. At North Lake Studios, Gary cut an album with singer J.C. Filasky, and did various demos and projects.
In 1990, he moved to Florida to work with Carnival and Norwegian cruise lines... playing around the Caribbean, Mexico and the Cayman Islands.
Over the years, Gary played gigs with members of Alabama and the Blues Project. He has also shared the stage with bands such as Marshall Tucker, the Drifters, Simply Red ,Chuck Berry, Dion and others.
Gary is now teaching drums in the Lake County area and looking forward to playing gigs with None Of The Above!
